DAY TWO – INVOKING ST. PADRE PIO, MYSTIC, TIRELESS INTERCESSOR AND MIRACLE-WORKER. 21st YEAR OF CELEBRATING HIS FEAST DAY. 

St. Padre Pio had much to say about worries, fears and anxieties which take away our peace:

"Everything passes, only God remains to the soul if it knows how to love Him well.”

“Be cheerful. Jesus will take care of everything. Let us trust in Jesus and our Heavenly Mother and everything will work out well!"

"How many times have I entrusted to the Blessed Virgin, the painful anxieties of my heart and how many times, she has calmed and consoled me."

Dearest Padre Pio, so many times a day, my mind begins to focus on things that cause me to worry and my peace is lost. The worry and anxieties feel like I am carrying a heavy sack on my back, especially when I concentrate on my ailments, the health concerns of others, the rising cost of food, housing and gas, as well as the ongoing violence in the world, and even when I have a disagreement with a family member or friend.  Help me to realize that the peace Jesus gives me will remain with me during all trials that I encounter. That His peace is still with me, despite the darkness, for the love of Jesus never leaves me alone. That I have a Savior in heaven, who is stronger than all, and that no one and nothing can snatch me from His hands.

Now, I come to you, my dearest intercessor. You often said to those who asked you to pray for them: “Pray, hope, and don't worry. Worry is useless. God is merciful and will hear your prayer.” Your words give me comfort and peace. Knowing that you will stand before the throne of God on my behalf, please ask God to do wonders in my life, even a miracle, if it be for His greater glory and the good of my soul. (Mention your intentions now and especially ask for many graces to be bestowed upon Cardinal Burke.) AMEN.

God our Father, You helped St. Pio to reflect the
image of Christ through a life of charity and self-sacrifice.
May we follow your Son by walking in the footsteps of
St. Pio of Pietrelcina and by imitating his selfless love.
