Novena to Our Lady of Mount Carmel
July 13 – Day Seven
Daily Prayer
Immaculate Virgin and Queen of Carmel, thou art the hope of the sufferer and the consolation of the afflicted. Look not upon my sins, but remember only that I am a poor soul redeemed by the Precious Blood of Thy Son, and that my heart is sealed with the holy scapular. Hear my prayer and if it be for the glory of God, thy honor and for the salvation of my soul, grant what I ask in this novena. Amen.
7th Day
O dear Mother of Carmel, I love thee more than I can express, more than my very soul can conceive. I reverence thee, I praise thee, O sacred Virgin, whose chaste womb bore the Son of the Most High God. Bless me and deliver me from all evil. Amen. Hail Mary (three times).
Flower of Carmel Prayer
O most beautiful flower of Mount Carmel, Fruitful Vine, Splendor of Heaven, Blessed Mother of the Son of God, Immaculate Virgin assist me in this necessity. O Star of the Sea, help me and show me herein you are my Mother. O Holy Mary, Mother of God, Queen of Heaven and Earth, I humbly beseech thee from the bottom of my heart, to succor me in this necessity; there is none that withstand your power. O show me herein you are my Mother.
O Mary conceived without sin,
Pray for us who have recourse to thee

Sweet Mother,
I place this cause in your hands.

Thoughts to Ponder:
As you prepare to either attend the Sunday Anticipatory Holy Mass on Saturday or the Holy Mass on the Lord’s Day, have you thought about what you will wear when you come before God in His house? Extremely casual clothing, such as shorts, dresses halfway above the knee, backless dresses, low-cut tops or even clothes that are worn to the beach should not be the fashion statement that you want to make inside a Catholic Church. Modesty in church is not being prudish. Please remember that the way we dress is often a sign of how important the celebration of the Eucharist is to us. How would you dress to visit the President or the Pope? We are in the house of the King of Kings!
