THE LITANY OF THE CROSS
The cross is the hope of Christians.
The cross is the resurrection of the dead.
The cross is the way of the lost.
The cross is the savior of the lost.
The cross is the staff of the lame.
The cross is the guide of the blind.
The cross is the strength of the weak.
The cross is the doctor of the sick.
The cross is the aim of the priests.
The cross is the hope of the hopeless.
The cross is the freedom of the slaves.
The cross is the power of the kings.
The cross is the water of the seeds.
The cross is the consolation of the bondsmen.
The cross is the source of those who seek water.
The cross is the cloth of the naked.
We thank you, Father, for the cross.
EXALTATION OF THE HOLY CROSS NINE DAY NOVENA PRAYER
Jesus, Who because of Your burning love for us
willed to be crucified
and to shed Your Most Precious Blood
for the redemption and salvation of our souls,
look down upon us and grant the petition(s) we ask for
(Mention your petitions now. Ask Jesus to bestow abundant graces upon Cardinal Burke.)
We trust completely in Your Mercy.
Cleanse us from sin by Your Grace,
sanctify our work,
give us and all those who are dear to us our daily bread,
lighten the burden of our sufferings,
bless our families,
and grant to the nations,
so sorely afflicted,
Your Peace, which is the only true peace,
so that by obeying Your Commandments
we may come at last to the glory of Heaven. AMEN.
HONORING THE SORROWS OF THE BLESSED VIRGIN MARY
The Seventh Sorrow of the Blessed Virgin Mary:
Mary Accompanies the Body of Jesus to the Tomb
Pray 1 Our Father
Joseph of Arimathea had gone to request the Body of Jesus. Thereupon Pilate issued an order for its release.
Pray 1 Hail Mary
Taking the Body, Joseph wrapped it in fresh linen and laid it in his own tomb which had been hewn from a formation of rock.

But Mary Magdalene and the other Mary remained sitting there, facing the tomb.

The next day, the one following the Day of Preparation, the chief priests and and the Pharisees called at Pilate’s residence.

“Sir,” they said, “we have recalled that, the imposter, while He was alive, made the claim, ‘After three days I will rise.”

“You should issue and order having the tomb kept under surveillance until the third day. Otherwise His disciples may go and steal Him.”

So they went and kept it under the surveillance of the guard, after fixing a seal to the stone.
Pray 1 Hail Mary
Mary, full of Mercy, remind our hearts of the suffering of Jesus during His Passion.
O MARY, sorrowful Virgin and Mother of all Christians, pray for us and hear my intentions which I now present to you. (Mention your intentions now and especially ask for abundant graces for Cardinal Burke)
