More than 500 Sandiegans Protest Planned Parenthood
On Saturday, August 22, Catholic Action for Faith and Family president, Thomas McKenna, joined more than 500 hundred sandiegans in front of Planned Parenthood to protest their killing of innocent children in their mother’s wombs and the selling of their body parts. Several local leaders addressed the crowd interspersed with patriotic hymns and chanted slogans.
The rally took place from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. The effort was part of a National Day of Protest taking place at over 350 Planned Parenthood offices and abortion facilities across the United States to raise awareness about Planned Parenthood’s trafficking of aborted baby parts.
Speakers included Dr. Jim Garlow, Senior Pastor, Skyline Wesleyan Church, Charles LiMandri, President and Chief Counsel of Freedom of Conscience Defense Fund, California State Senator Joel Anderson and Thomas McKenna.
Mr. McKenna addressed the Catholic Voice in the issue and encouraged people to sign the Defund Planned Parenthood petition to Congress that Catholic Action is sponsoring.
“It was a day inspired by prayer and patriotism,” commented Mr. McKenna.
The rally was organized by pro-life coordinator Mary Moran.
